SISSI (Assistant to MIZZ MARPLE): Do you have any idea, why she chose exactly this oval-shaped canvas for her series GODS IN WHITE I LES DIEUX EN BLANC? „Nobody“ wants this kind of form at the moment.
MIZZ MARPLE: Exactly. And I am pretty sure, THAT IS the reason (laughing)......Probably she was also inspired by this very old portrait painting style of the 18th and 19th century, as well as by little cameos. Basically I think it is a nice break in style with her own way of painting......
